As a heritage specialist, I regularly write about topics relating to architecture, archaeology, history, and my travels. My aim is to share my passion and interest in the past with a wider audience. I am fully accredited with the IHBC, CIfA, and I am a member of SPAB with extensive experience working for local authorities, Historic England, and English Heritage. I understand the importance of retaining the significance of a listed building, a key concept of the NPPF, and I also understand the need to adapt old properties for modern living.

With over 14 years of experience in the heritage sector, I provide professional advice on alterations and repairs to historic buildings and carry out historical research, producing heritage statements.

The past is not dead, it is living in us, and will be alive in the future which we are now helping to make.
